Andrea Petkovic Biography

Andrea Petkovic (born September 9, 1987 in Tuzla, Yugoslavia) is a professional tennis player from Germany and Serbian ancesrty. She is living in Griesheim near Darmstadt, Germany. As of December 13, 2007, Petkovic reached her career-high ranking singles of World Number 91 on January 7, 2008, but is ranked 93. Petkovic's highest doubles ranking was World Number 205 on February 9, 2009. Petkovic has not won any WTA titles, but she has won 7 ITF singles titles and 3 ITF doubles titles. Petkovic became the German national champion in December 2007. She is coached by her father Zoran Petkovic, a former Yugoslavian Davis Cup player, and first took the courts when she was 6. Petkovic attained a German passport in 2001.
