Anastasia Pivovarova Biography

Anastasia Pivovarova was born in Moscow, Russia, in June 16th 1990.

This russian hot tennis player was able to win her first ITF title at her second tournament ever, back in 2005. Anastasia Pivovarova was, during her junior career, ranked as high as world number 2. She won her first WTA level main draw match back in 2008, but she had a few injuries early in her career.

Anastasia Pivovarova, who is coached by Antonio Baldellou, missed about three months of the circuit with an abdominal injury, five months with a back injury, and she also suffered a broken wrist. These injuries prevented her to climb the rankings quicker. Nevertheless, she has already found a place into the top-100, playing WTA Tour level events regularly and beating a few top-100 players.

Anastasia Pivovarova has as her best result at the moment the 3rd round at the 2010 edition of Roland Garros, where she beat world number 24 Jie Zheng, before falling to world number 7 and the previous year’s runner-up, Samantha Stosur from Australia.

The russian hottie is already a regular in WTA level draws and has many ITF level tournaments under her belt. Because of that, she surely deserves her own spot on our list.
